Hair vines

Bridal hair vines are perfect for updos, half-up styles, buns, and ponytails.

On twisted wire

The foundation of every bridal hair vine is a thin twisted wire. By contrasting its color with your hair color, you enhance the visual perception of its small diameter. This will make even large and elaborate decorations still appear “light” in appearance.
Matching the wire color to your hair color will yield the opposite effect. The vine's stem will remain invisible, while the crystals, leaves, or pearls used in the decoration will be more prominently featured.

Organic feel

As the name suggests, bridal hair vines have an organic expression. Thanks to their branching structure, they closely resemble plants. This makes them perfect for brides embracing a rustic, boho, or “back to nature” style. They also complement dresses with organic or floral ornamentation or appliques.

Arranging the vine in your hair

Hair vines are secured in the hair using 2-3 hairpins (depending on the length of the decoration) along the main “stem”. This establishes its path in the bridal hairstyle. Next, focus on shaping each branch precisely. To achieve a more natural and dimensional effect, pay attention to ensure that each branch protrudes slightly from the hair but aligns in one direction. A real vine is never “flat”. Each branch has a slightly different angle but maintains the main direction.

Asymmetrical or not?

Hair vines serve as a wonderful decorative accent in bridal hairstyles. I recommend accentuating one side of the hairstyle with them, especially since brides often opt for slightly asymmetrical hairstyles – such as with a side part, one-sided braided style, or half-updo. In such cases, a vine accentuating the opposite side balances the hairstyle perfectly! However, if symmetry is more to your liking, here are three ways to arrange the vine:

  • Place it in the axis of the hairstyle, centrally above the updo or at the top in the form of a headband.
  • If the decoration is fixed on one side of the head, place a similar hair vine symmetrically on the other side.
  • If you want to just soften the asymmetry, you can do so by inserting a few hairpins or combs in the same style on the other side of the updo.
